I will never forget this patient. For privacy, we will call her Ms. D.
Ms. D came to see me because her Quality of life was rapidly decreasing due to this intense pain she was experiencing in her entire leg. It had started as a simple ache in the hip and was now going all the way down to the arch of her foot a few weeks later. She was distressed because she was currently experiencing difficulties with walking and working. She could no longer sit for more than 20 minutes before having increased tingling and shooting pain down her leg. Some would describe what she was experiencing as a "sciatica or sciatic pain" I would call it HER pain.
After a thorough assessment, it was apparent to me that her symptoms were most likely originating from her lower back. During the assessment, it was clear that her symptoms changed depending on how she moved her back.
At first, she was skeptical as she didn't have pain in her lower back. But she trusted me, and we went on with determining which exercise she would go home with. We picked one very specific exercise that she had to do quite a few times per day, which took her roughly 5 minutes per day to do.
She couldn't believe it; her pain was only going as low as her hip after 4 days of doing the exercise. We then went on to progress her exercise. After only 3 sessions, she no longer had any pain and felt empowered as she said that if ever this was to come back, she now had the tools to take care of it herself.
This story, to me, is a simple example of my approach, we analyze, figure out first where the issue comes from, once we do, we find together what you can do at home to make it better between our sessions, and give you all the tools possible so that you become as autonomous and independent as one can be.

Back pain is no stranger. More than 80% of people will, at some point in their life, experience back pain. Back pain is debilitating and often very limiting. Through advanced post-graduate courses and seeing patients dealing with it on a daily basis, I built an expertise in back pain. It isn't "normal" to experience back pain for months. You deserve a pain-free life. It will be my pleasure to guide you toward this goal.
Neck pain can be debilitating, giving headaches and stopping you from doing what you enjoy and even working. Neck pain is not always as tricky as it might seem. Through advanced post-graduate courses and seeing patients dealing with it daily, I built an expertise in neck pain. Very often, and most likely in your case, it only takes one or two exercises to get back in motion and significantly reduce the pain and limitations.
From knee pain when walking to knee pain when sitting for a long time at work or when waking up in the morning, I have seen them all. Knee pain has this tendency to get better fast with the need for only a few simple exercises. Let me guide you toward those exercises.
There are multiple reasons why a shoulder might hurt. It could be from muscles, ligaments, the joint itself of the shoulder, or very often is due to a neck or upper back problem. During the assessment, we will identify the primary source of your pains and limitations and, from there, determine the correct exercises to get you back to your old self.
